Chris and Colleen Tress

Chris Tress is the Director of Youth Ministry for Urban Youth Impact, a mission organization that targets inner city neighborhoods in West Palm Beach. He began serving at Urban Youth Impact seven years ago and has made serving urban youth his job and his life.

Chris and his wife, Colleen, focus on Tamarind Avenue, a poverty and drug-stricken, four-mile stretch in downtown West Palm Beach. Tamarind has the highest murder rate per square foot in the entire nation. Eighty-five percent of crime in West Palm Beach is committed on Tamarind. Boys who grow up there are more likely to go to jail than graduate high-school. As director, Tress oversees the entire youth ministry including weekly outreaches and Bible studies for elementary, middle and high school students.
